Ambassador Programme Terms

Version 2026-09-15. These terms apply to every certified Guild Ambassador and to every applicant from the moment they accept them in the application.

1. Who the parties are

The programme is run by the operator of The Mambo Guild identified in the Imprint ("we", "us"). You are the member who applied to the programme and accepted these terms ("you", "the Ambassador").

2. What the relationship is, and is not

You take part as an independent person. Nothing here creates employment, an agency, a partnership or a joint venture. You have no authority to sign anything, promise anything or make any statement on our behalf. You are free to decide whether, when and how much you promote the Guild, and you may promote other schools and platforms. We are free to run the programme, admit and certify other Ambassadors, and change or close it under clause 12.

3. Certification

Certification is granted at our discretion after the exam described on the Ambassador page, which we may change over time. The certificate, the verification page and the title "Certified Mambo Guild Ambassador" belong to us. You may use the title and show the certificate while your certification is active. We may revoke it at any time under clause 11.

4. Licence to teach

While your certification is active you may:

  • teach Mambo Guild material in person to your own students, in your own classes;
  • say that you are a Certified Mambo Guild Ambassador and that the material comes from The Mambo Guild.

You may not:

  • teach the material online, record it for sale or distribution, or share lesson videos, notes or captions with anyone;
  • name a school, class series, product or social account "Mambo Guild" or anything that could be taken for us;
  • suggest that we endorse your classes, your school or you beyond the certification itself;
  • sub-license the material or certify anyone else.

Your classes are your own business. You are responsible for their safety, for the premises, for your students and for any insurance a teacher needs where you teach. We are not liable for injury, loss or claims arising from classes you give, and you will hold us harmless against any such claim.

5. Referrals

We give you a personal referral link and code. A member is attributed to you when they create their account through your link or enter your code at sign-up. Attribution is decided by our records at that moment and does not change afterwards.

Referrals that do not count:

  • your own accounts, accounts of people in your household, and accounts created to game the programme;
  • members won through paid search or social advertising on our name or brand terms, coupon and deal sites, unsolicited messages, or any claim about the Guild that is not true;
  • members who ask for a refund or whose payment is reversed (clause 7).

6. Commission

For every member attributed to you, you earn 30% of the Net Revenue of each of their paid subscription invoices for the first 12 months counted from that member's first paid invoice. After those 12 months no further commission is due for that member, whether or not they stay.

Net Revenue is the amount we actually receive for an invoice, minus VAT or sales tax charged on it and minus the payment processing fee charged to us for it. Trial periods, unpaid invoices, free or comped accounts and in-app purchases of any other kind carry no commission.

7. Refunds and reversals

If a referred member is refunded, disputes a payment or has a payment reversed, the commission on that invoice is cancelled. If it has already been paid to you, we deduct it from your next statement.

8. Statements and payment

  • We issue a statement once per calendar quarter, within 30 days after the quarter ends, listing the invoices credited to you and the commission due.
  • Our records of attributions, invoices and payments are the basis of the statement. Tell us within 30 days of a statement if you believe something is missing.
  • Commission is paid in the currency of the underlying invoices, by PayPal or Wise, to the payout email on your application. Keep it up to date.
  • A balance under USD 50 (or the equivalent) rolls over to the next quarter. Any balance is paid when the programme ends for you.
  • Where we are required to apply a withholding tax on payments to you, we apply it and give you the certificate for it.

9. Your taxes

Commission is income you earn as an independent person. You are responsible for declaring it and for any tax, social contribution or registration that applies to you where you live. You confirm that the tax residence you gave in your application is correct and you will tell us if it changes. On request you will give us a receipt or invoice for a payment and a written confirmation of your tax residence and tax identification number.

10. Data

We show you how many members you referred and what you earned. We do not share the identity or personal data of referred members with you, and you will not collect or keep their data in order to promote the Guild. We process your own data under our Privacy Policy.

11. Ending the programme for you

You may leave the programme at any time by emailing support@themamboguild.com. We may revoke your certification at any time, with the reason shown on your Ambassador page, for a breach of these terms, for conduct that could harm students or the Guild, or if your membership ends. When your certification ends, the licence in clause 4 ends immediately, your link stops attributing new members, and commission stops accruing. Commission already earned is paid on the next statement. A revocation for breach forfeits unpaid commission on referrals that were part of the breach.

12. Changes

We may change these terms, the commission rate, the window or the exam. We will email you at least 30 days before a change to the commission applies to invoices, and a change never reduces commission on invoices already paid. Continuing in the programme after the notice period is acceptance; if you do not agree, you may leave under clause 11.

13. Law and language

These terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute goes to the courts of Rome, Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory rule of the law of the country where you live. These terms are written in English; any translation is for convenience only and the English text governs.
