Definition
Directing attention to the effect of a movement in the environment (push the floor, reach the wall) rather than to a body part, which per Wulf's Constrained Action Hypothesis lets the automatic motor system run without prefrontal interference for smoother, less tense motion. Reframing internal cues into external ones produces immediate, measurable gains in balance, timing, and fluidity in the first session.
