You clap the Clave, the backbone of the music, then step on it.
The Instrument 🥁

- 2-3 Son Clave. The 2-3 Clave, Son Clave, is going to be two hits on the 1 2 3 4 and three hits on the 5 6 7 8.
- Counts of the hits. 2 3, then 5, 6 and, 8.
- 3-2 Son Clave. The three-two Son Clave is the exact same thing, but the first three hits are going to be at the beginning of the phrase.
- Rumba Clave. The rumba Clave is what plays during your rumba guaguancó.
- Wolenche. A step from Afro that a lot of different orishas or gods, they share. Open, close, open to the back and close.
