Best Online Salsa On2 Courses in 2026: An Honest Comparison, Including Ours

We run one of the platforms below, so read this with that in mind. To keep it useful anyway, three rules. Every price, lesson count and claim is quoted from the provider's own public website as of 10 September 2026, with nothing rounded in our favour. Where we think a competitor is the better choice for a type of dancer, we say so. And we do not rank the list: the right platform depends on what you want, which is why each entry ends with who it suits.

One thing to know before comparing anything: not all of these teach the same dance. Some are On2-only, some teach On1 and On2, and "salsa" with no qualifier usually means On1 outside New York. If you are not sure which timing you want, start with Salsa On1 vs Salsa On2.

Ours. Founded in 2025 and launched publicly in April 2026 by Pavle Popovic, a two-time European salsa champion certified in learning experience design. It is On2-only by design: three footwork courses (101, 201, 301), three partnerwork courses, Pachanga, Bodymovement Mastery, choreographies, a 20-module history course, an 18-module training-science course and single-move toolkits, more than 30 courses at the time of writing. Every course is a skill tree of modules that unlock as you complete them, with XP, levels and badges, and a glossary of 270+ moves whose definitions are quoted verbatim from the lesson notes. Captions in 16 languages. Pro is $39 a month after a 7-day free trial; Guild Master at $59 adds monthly one-on-one video feedback and weekly live Zoom calls. Cancel in two clicks.

Where it is weaker: it is the newest platform on this list, so the member community is smaller than Dance Dojo's and the track record shorter. There is no lifetime option; it is a subscription. Live classes are Guild Master only. If you want On1, this is the wrong place.

Best for: dancers who want a single, structured On2 path from zero and a progression system that keeps them practising; people who train alone; anyone who wants written definitions, not just video.

Run by Patrick and Scarlet, and the best-known name in online salsa. The salsa program is 364 on-demand lessons in a progressive six-module structure (partner work, lead and follow, turns, shines, body movement, musicality), covering both On1 and On2, for a one-time $299 with lifetime access and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Their site quotes a 4.95/5 rating from 3,000+ students, and they publish a large library of free guides (around 36 at the time of writing) plus a glossary of terms. Where it is weaker for an On2 dancer: it is not On2-specific. The program teaches linear salsa in both timings, so the On2 material is a portion of the whole, and there is no gamified progression system. $299 up front is a real commitment for a beginner who does not yet know if they will stick with it.

Best for: dancers who want both timings, prefer paying once, and value a large, established community and reading material.

A New York school's online arm, On2 only. 246+ HD lessons across Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, with shines and partnerwork separated, over 20 hours of ladies' styling, guest workshops and a private community. List price $35 a month or $279 a year with a 7-day free trial, and they run promotions often (25% off at the time of writing). A personal onboarding call is included.

Where it is weaker: the library is organised by level and topic rather than as a single sequenced path, so you choose the order. Best for: dancers who want authentic New York On2 with a live, workshop-driven feel and a large partnerwork catalogue.

Run by Eduardo Torres and Princess Serrano, who describe themselves as carrying the torch of the Torres dynasty, and hosted on Skool. $29 a month for a vault of 100+ hours of classes across Mambo, Pachanga, Rumba, Cha Cha and Salsa Caleña, a weekly interactive Zoom class, new content weekly, history and documentaries, and choreography bootcamps. If lineage matters to you, this is the closest you can get online to the New York school that produced the Eddie Torres system.

Where it is weaker: it is organised as an academy vault plus live classes rather than a beginner-to-advanced textbook, so complete beginners may need to work out their own order. Best for: dancers committed specifically to New York Mambo who want weekly live contact with a New York academy.

A UK school with two decades of On2 teaching. £25 a month for an on-demand library of 300+ tutorials (partnerwork, shines, body movement, styling, turns, musicality, cha cha, pachanga) plus live interactive Zoom classes, which can also be joined pay-per-class. A standalone six-lesson beginners course is £15 one-off, and their Introduction to On2 for On1 dancers is one of the few courses built specifically for the On1-to-On2 switch.

Where it is weaker: the platform is a simpler video library than the app-style products on this list. Best for: value, and for On1 dancers making the transition.

A one-time $97 video course from a New York On2 teacher with 25 years of experience, built around learning timing from the conga drum, with modules on rhythm, spinning, partnerwork, steps, technique and styling, plus curated practice playlists and a community. Where it is weaker: a single course, not a growing library, and no live element. Best for: beginners who want one inexpensive, complete On2 course with a strong musical method.

Several individual On2 courses exist (for example a Level 1 beginner footwork course for New York style), sold per course and frequently discounted. Where it is weaker: quality varies a lot between instructors, and there is no progression from one course to the next. Best for: trying On2 for the price of a cinema ticket before committing to anything.
