What This Module Trains 🎯

Two intermediate flare combinations: the Full Flare and the Mambros Flare.

The Moves 🧠

Lesson 1.

Contra Position. Every time you flare, your torso goes to the opposite side while your head stays to the front.

Full Flare. A step flare, step flare kind of combo, also called a Pachanga flare because it is usually used in Pachanga.

  • Cross the left on 1, open on 2, cross the right on 3, open on 4.
  • Tres Tres on 5, 6, back on 7, then repeat to the back.

Lesson 2.

Mambros Flare. Often called the full count flare, it is named in homage to the Mambros, who do this step in all their shows.

  • Flare the left on 1, open on 2, back on 3, open on 4.
  • Tap the right behind on 5, flare on 6, cross on 7, open on 8.

How the Drill Runs 🔁

  1. Full Flare, front then back
  2. Mambros Flare
  3. Both again

Technique Cues 💡

  • Only your upper body rotates.
  • Look at your foot as you dance.
  • Open the arms on 8.

💡 Drill it: slowly with the basics, then faster.
