Head Isolation

Also called: head isolations, head movement, neck isolation

Definition

Moving the head independently in three directions (up/down nod, side-to-side ear-toward-shoulder tilt, and horizontal left/right rotation) while the rest of the body stays still. The trick is to add a little tension in the shoulders and chest to anchor them so the head can work on its own.
