From the module notes

What This Module Trains 🎯

A kick on every end count running through the Cha Cha Cha, twisting, accent up.

The Move 🧠

  • From the basic: 8 and 1, 2 3, 4 and 5.
  • Boogaloo Kicks. I am stepping on the six and kicking on the end count, stepping on 7 and kicking again on the end count, and then I go 8 and 1, Cha Cha Cha, step step step.
  • Pachanga kicks. In the Pachanga kicks we are rocking here back and forth, and here we are not going to be using so much of this rocking motion.

How the Drill Runs 🔁

  1. First run. Fast on Boogaloo music, use that opposition.
  2. Second run. Same step, lean back.
  3. Last one. Cha cha back, and we finish.

Technique Cues 💡

  • Kick on the end count. Every "and" is a kick.
  • Stay straight up, not rocking. Accent up.
  • Twist the hip, one hand in the pocket.
  • Be fast after the syncopation, 4 and 5 and, no break.

💡 Drill it: Land the kick on every end count slowed down first, then fast on Boogaloo music.
