Casino

Also called: casino style

Definition

The intricately braided, aggressively circular partner dance that evolved natively in Cuba (the Cuban people danced Casino, not "Salsa"), built to interpret Timba. The lead continuously walks in a wide arc around the follow rather than along a straight slot.
