Mambo Revival

Definition

The 1990s movement that moved Latin dance from the social club floor to the theatrical stage through professional-amateur dance companies. It began when Eddie Torres debuted the Eddie Torres Dancers at the Apollo Theater in 1987, training the first large generation of highly technical Mambo students.
