Salsa Congress

Definition

The multi-day, hotel-based festival of workshops and performances invented by Eli Irizarry with the first Puerto Rico Salsa Congress in 1997. By gathering the world's best dancers from disparate cities under one roof, it globalized the dance and created the modern Salsa tourism industry.
